Many people in larger bodies avoid health care at all costs, because of their previous negative experiences. The majority of transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming people have negative interactions in health care. Gender diverse and larger-bodied people more often than not have harmful interactions in eating disorder treatment centers or clinics.
I can help you make important shifts in your practice that will completely change the experience for your patients with larger bodies, improving compliance, retention, patient satisfaction and word of mouth referrals.

Who do I work with?
I teach acupuncturists, massage therapists, doctors, nurses, chiropractors, medical assistants, dentists, physical therapists, dieticians, nutritionists, mental health therapists and social workers (basically anyone connected to mental or physical health care!) the layered nuances of how to treat their larger clients/patients in the most respectful and compassionate ways. This is called weight-inclusive health care. For gender, it is called gender-affirming care.
Why am I qualified to help you?
With my background as a health care worker for over 10 years, and with my experience of the culture of medical education while attending a medical university in Portland, Oregon, I am well-versed in how most healthcare providers are trained to think about, and work, with higher weight patients. Add to this 10 months of training for the Body Trust® Provider Certification, where I have clarified the challenges that non-weight-informed practitioners face in relating to, and welcoming, size diversity in their practices. My rich lived experience as a fat, eating disorder recovered, queer, trans non-binary person further informs the work that I have done to develop specific approaches and techniques that create a truly welcoming environment for your patients. I will help you reach your full potential in being able to implement weight-inclusive, gender-affirming care, and serve even more people.
What is your current consulting rate?
This can be determined by a flat project rate or an hourly rate. My current consulting rate is $200 per hour. Starting January 1, 2021, my consulting rate will increase to $225 per hour. If you’d like to discuss a flat project rate for you or your organization, please contact me here.
